Project 365!

So I've decided to do a photo everyday for a whole year. I have seen this done a lot recently by many people, professional photographers, amateur photographers and some just for fun!

By doing this i hope i make myself a better photographer and in a years time i can look back and see how i have progressed.

Have a sneaky peak by clicking the link below; here is my photo from today :

Ritchey Oktoberfest - Behind the scenes with Bike Riders United

Left to right - Steve Peat, Sam Pilgrim, Martyn Ashton, Oli Beckingsale and Blake Samson.

After many hours of working my charm work let me have the 15th October off work so I could go to Ashton Court and shadow the Bike Riders United Team.

Once arriving at Ashton Court I scoped out the Animal Bike Tour Vito and spoke to Lee Peters who was kind enough to invite me there to get an inside look at what the guys do; I've always been fascinated by them and want to get into more action within my photography which is quite tricky!

Johno and Hersha were starting to film the first batch of 'How-To' videos starting with Sam Pilgrim and a Bunny Hop. Blake Samson does a how-to on a Manual, with them talking you through each step so you can try it yourselves. There were a few more video clips they filmed which I won't tell you as that gives it all away and spoils the excitement. Even though i was there and able to see each aspect of the trick being filmed i cant wait to see the final cut!

My full set of photos can be seen here on facebook

The day was dry and sunny but by no means was it warm!! The guys are all really friendly, funny and full of character; it was great to finally meet them and learn more about what they do. Thanks to Sam for the lift back, I'll buy you some amaretto next time to say thanks! Huge thanks to all of you guys for letting me sit by the warm fire and for your hospitality it was an ace day!

The Bike Riders United fininshed in FIRST PLACE, I missed action but i guarantee Sam's lap was the winning one; get #pilgrimlycra trending on facebook and he'll do a solo xc next year! ;)

Enjoy the how-to videos and i hope to be at any events these guys go to in the future!

Red Bull Street Light Sessions Bristol

So it seems i'm really bad at updating this.

So last month Martyn Ashton, Danny MacAskill came to Bristol's castlepark and set up a trials spot for riders far and near. With a prize of £500 for the best trick of the night. It was a pretty damp and horrid day but everyone remained cheerful.

Due to hiding my camera from any moisture i didnt get as many shots as i would have liked, but im pleased with the outcome. Photos can be seen via the link

Foundation Degree in Photography

So yesterday was the first day at college, nothing too exciting just some necessary forms to fill in, blah blah blah. Met some really cool people, and there is a mix of mature students aswell which is great. I'm looking forward to digging in and starting the first project, but I don't need to go in until the 13th where we start a bit more/complete enrolment and then the hard work will begin!!

Sheffield & See No Evil

So August has been quite a busy month!! Went to visit my sister Angel in Sheffield with my other sister Vicky (which made the train journey comical). We took a few hundred photos between us but this is probably my favourite

I borrowed my sister's Macro lens for this beauty. (My birthday is December 15th for anyone that is stuck for ideas on a present, fisheye lens and a Mac too please ;)

After a few nights at Angel's and her boyfriend Lee's apartment we made our way back to Bristol, me and Vicky went to the See No Evil street art that took place on Nelson Street (which is going to be there for a while! So I suggest you make it to Bristol to have a little look!)

One of my faves!

Where it all happened....
